I’ll admit, I was skeptical. The last time I saw Rage Against the Machine, I was in high school. Seemed like the kinda thing best left to more innocent times, but I was wrong. In honor of my recent SPIN review of Rage Against the Machine’s return to live domination, I’ve resurrected my first concert review ever — of RATM at the Oakland Arena in 1999, published in, wait for it, my high school paper, The Spartan Spectrum. Apparently, “they thoroughly rocked the crowd.”
