Apologies for the drop-off in updates. Despite all of the food, fun and familial goodness I’m very thankful to have indulged in, I assure you I’ve been busy — both in bringing you more of the quality content you’ve come to expect from Funny Ha Ha, and in scheming up new ways to do so even better. I recently had the esteemed honor of attending the homecoming show for Dangerbird co-founder Jeff Castelaz, who’d just completed his cross-country cycling expedition in the name of his charitable non-profit, The Pablove Foundation. A pretty impressive array of artists showed up to perform mini sets, which you can read about here, via Spin. Peep the flyer.

Howdy ya’ll. Just cooked up a fresh new installment of the INCHES column. This week we take a trip north to the Bay Area (land of my upbringing) to cover some face-meltingly hot vinyl releases from Lazer Sword, Tempo No Tempo, Themselves, and Young Prisms. Free MP3s, videos, awesome photos, awesomer words. Check it.
The new free L.A.-based mini-magazine’s website is up and running. Not much there yet but a handy list of all the record shops, cafés, thrift shops and taco joints that carry the thing, but for now, that’s all one really needs. Click here. I’m working on the cover story for Issue 2. Think big.
